TAKE US INSTEAD is photographic documentation of items from the No Williams River Collection. The documentation was shown as a slide show of 100 items from the collection in the first exhibition of the Williams River Valley Artists' Project at Muswellbrook Regional Gallery. The collection will be shown at later exhibitions planned by the project - at the Tin Sheds Gallery in Sydney in 2010 and the Maitland Regional Gallery in 2011.

The No Williams River Collection is ongoing and is intended as an alternative to the collection of Williams River water by the Hunter Water Authority and NSW Government to make the Tillegra Dam. Being mainly collected from ebay, the No Williams River Collection is composed of increasing numbers of interesting and hardy objects of trade. Because they are far less vulnerable and rare than healthy rivers, and available at a much cheaper price, it is hoped that the Water Authority and Government will take this collection instead, and leave the water in the river.
